Bearwood is definately a town on the up and should be keenly eyed by property developers in the Midlands area. With quick access to central Birmingham on a host of different bus routes, and quick access to the M6 and M5 is Bearwood ripe for the picking. Harbornes ugly sister seems to have found her makeup, and the biggest secret is out!

Well the signs are definately there, bordering Smethwick one of the most affordable areas in the Midlands and the country, and just down the road from the ultra cool Harborne. Bearwood isn't quite there but is close.

The highstreet has your traditional butchers, bakers, grocers and a number of retail stores. However there are a large number of charity stores and takeaway shops, however this is something that could change very quickly. Just looking on the highstreet there are quite a number of estate agents getting in on the booming market.

For £120k you can get on the housing market in this area, with a traditional Victorian Terrace, 2 up 2 down. This is a first time buyers paradise. As you move up the Bearwood road towards the Hagley Road then prices increase as the the house sizes do. Some houses on the popular lightswood hill can fetch up to £3-400k, whilst herbert road and lightswood road are starting to easil touch the £200k mark.

And walking around Bearwood a number of skips, and building work is obvious as new buyers move in to the area and the houes are improves, a quick look at the cars in this area also shows middle class living.

There are also a number of award winning pubs in this area, the Abbey primarily, there is a large park, golf course, leisure centre with pool, and other features including a church. The Barleycorn pub at the top of the Bearwood road is also one of the few places in Sandwell that has a license for a casino and this could see some major investment in the area.

So really Bearwood has it all, the downside is really that it is part of Sandwell council and could do with having some money spent on it to bring it up to a higher standard. But with the increase in house prices this area is going to become very popular and a surge should be on the horizon. Get in quck before you miss out!
